This decorative steel frame with wall mounted bracketing is reflective of the Georgian era. The design brief required Georgian motifs and minimalist fixing whilst supporting a very heavy sheet of 12mm plate glass for the roof.

decorative features for entry gates
This was an interesting assignment which included several aspects. The patterned lacework adjacent to the gates was hand forged, welded and primed. The hinges, decorative straps, copper rivets & letterbox on the gates were also cut, shaped, forged, hammered and rolled by hand.

This security gate was completed more than 15 years ago, but the top photos you can see were taken recently (July 2017 whilst installing another job for the same client). The last 2 images are the original ones. The finish has held up extremely well with no maintenance after all that time!
